Moncler Continues To Make Puffy Dresses A Thing For Fall

Puffy dresses are something I never thought about, but now I can’t forget them thanks to Milan Fashion Week and Moncler. The brand reinvented the down coat with the help of a few friends like Valentino, Alyx and Simone Rocha. Sown in their newly christened Genius Building, it was a mix of very different aesthetics that went off the beaten track.
Read on for a quick breakdown of what came from each club member. Just make sure you scroll to the end, because … dogs.

1 Moncler Richard Quinn

British Darling Richard Quinn is one of two new designers added this season to Moncler’s “Genius” series. It brings London vibes to the slopes with stylish ski gear in the best prints.

2 Moncler Pierpaolo Piccioli

Valentino Creative Director Piccioli worked with Moncler and model Liya Kebede for some amazing puffy dresses that are probably all over your Insta feed right now. They brought in eight Ethiopian artists who work for Kebede’s ethical fashion brand, Lemlem, to create these designs for the Ice Queen in us all.

3 Moncler 1952 (Donna)

This one is for anyone who thinks down jackets can’t be chic. Courtesy of Veronica Leoni, a student of Phoebe Philo, Moncler DNA meets luxury leather goods and woolen coats.

4 Moncler 1952 (Uomo)

The logomania and ease of Los Angeles rea were immediately felt in this line of men’s clothing from Sergio Zambon. SoCal’s ultimate brother, Bella Hadid, is already a fan.

5 Moncler Simone Rocha

Some puffs need a little darker romance – not that they had it to begin with – and that’s what Simone Rocha is bringing to the Moncler table. Drama is seen through cascading nylon layers, baby pink bows, and dramatic bell shapes.

6 Moncler Craig Green

One word: transformers.

7 Moncler 1017 ALYX 9SM

Matthew Williams of Alyx took the streetwear route with his first collection. Its vibe is what you think a cool puffer should be, only better.

8 Moncler Fragment Hiroshi Fujiwara

Wow, so I really need a Pokemon puffer. Directed by designer Hiroshi Fujiwara of Fragment, his collaboration is the type of kids from New York’s Lower East Side neighborhood who will be assembling.

9 Moncler Palm Angels

Just try to search a metallic magenta puffer jacket with matching pants. You can’t, at least until Palm Angels’ collaboration with Moncler falls.

Moncler and Poldo Dog Couture

Omg puppies.
