Last month, Glossier recruited Gen Z sweetheart Olivia Rodrigo to sneakily unveil her new lip product. “It just highlights what you got,” she said about the product at the time. Showcasing your natural beauty has been Glossier’s mission from the start. Today, Glossier is finally abandoning the product they describe as “lipstick (cashmere) sweatpants”.
Meet Ultralip. Think of everything you could ask for from a lipstick, and it comes wrapped in Ultralip’s powder pink tube. While most lipsticks can be a bit drying and require a layering of moisturizers, Ultralip takes the hassle out of the way and comes as a hybrid of lip balm and lipstick. Ultralip is a buildable formula that nourishes lips like a balm, using ingredients you would likely see in your favorite skincare product. It contains a mix of four molecular weights of hyaluronic acid, combined with oils of jojoba, meadowfoam and watermelon.
Like most products in the Glossier range, Ultralip offers a fine tint on the first pass and a more pigmented finish with a few additional coats. To add on, there are nine shades to choose from:
+ Villa (dusty rose)
+ Portrait (pink cherry blossom)
+ Party (watermelon red)
+Lucite (transparent peony pink)
+Vesper (rich fuchsia)
+Trench coat (caramel brown)
+Embers (dark purple)
+Stamp (walnut brown)
+Cut (blood orange)
Glossier enlisted Liberty Ross and her daughter Skyla Sanders, Intisar Abdul-Kader, Aurora James and Zinnia Kumar for the Ultralip campaign to showcase the beautiful shades.
Ultralip is now available for $ 18 at glossier.com.
